WARREN MEMORIAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH COPPER AND BRASS SIGN
A rare find of the copper and brass lettered church sign that hung over the entry of the Warren Memorial Presbyterian Church that burned down before 1958 on 4th and broadway in Louisville Kentucky. This church was built in 1870 and was originally on another location before the move. It now stands as a Greyhound Station and parking lot. The Southern Theologial Seminary also stood with the building. According to records, many Confederate soldiers attended the church prior to the warattended . The sign is pre war, hand made of solid brass 2 inch scrolled letters and a heavy solid copper plate. hand rivited and full of dark burned smoke on it from the fire. almost enbedded in the metal. this would be beautiful if hand polished. 60 inches by 18 inches. about 30 pounds.
